A comic book mystery with an ocean of secrets.

After her neurodivergent mom, DESIREE, mysteriously vanishes into the ocean, desperate twelve year old EMMA runs away from her home in coastal Oregon traveling to Southern California in search of an estranged family friend named GLENN who she’s never met. Emma’s mom left her with an enormous bag full of self-made comic book drawings and artwork, telling Emma only this stranger and huge comic book fan (who actually is Desiree’s foster brother) can decipher its meaning.

These new original comic images tell the surreal and parallel story of three down-on-their-luck orphans with secret superpowers who battle villains in the fantastic world of CAPTAIN TSUNAMI. As Emma’s dad, MALCOLM, (also a foster brother) speeds down the coast to reunite with his daughter, Emma attempts to bring the magical comic book to life through Glenn. Its characters include a slow-talking security guard named Jelly, a street hustler named Viper, and a mystical drifter named Sedona.

Emma believes the quirky and fantastic story of these three orphans battling shark monsters, evil grinder machines, and magical goo is real. She just needs to convince Glenn to dig deep into his memory to unravel the truth about Captain Tsunami.

Everything is on the table.
