A Live-Action Supernatural Horror/Thriller
Nothing seems to work! All that she’s been taught to ward off wild animals failed. And now wildlife cartographer ANTONIA “TONI” DAVIS runs for her life from a very large unidentifiable presence in the midst of a downpour.
Hopelessly lost in the dark forest, she discovers salvation and a possible hiding place--a mysterious well-hidden bunker in the middle of nowhere with its door cracked open. Once inside, she sees no one home, just a pot of simmering food. Cautiously giving into hunger, she soon discovers that the tasty and aromatic “just right” porridge has been drugged.
DON’T EAT THE PORRIDGE!
Reviving shackled to a wall, Toni faces the terror of being prisoner to the bunker’s strange inhabitants--the BEHR FAMILY (Momma JEAN, her teen son KERRY, and their crazily scary MEEMAW). And becomes a pawn in their nefarious plan to stop a multigenerational family curse.
Desperate seventeen year-old Kerry insists he’s a monster and only Toni’s willing sacrifice can save him. When all males in the Behr family hit puberty, they become monsters every full moon, and can only be saved by passing the curse onto someone willing to parent the next generation. With Kerry’s dementia-addled Meemaw wanting to kill everyone (because she rightfully thinks everyone is a monster) and mother Jean insisting that Toni will be their prisoner for as long as it takes her will to collapse, Toni remains trapped with little hope or means of escape.
Withdrawing into despair, Toni uses her keen observation skills, looking for cracks in the Behr’s disfunctional relationship. And alters her psychology. Via inventive and engaging interactions with a sometimes intimidating Kerry, she soon finds Kerry to be more of a socially anxious misfit and sweet in his desperation to not be a monster. Toni also learns that she isn’t the first young woman that’s been abducted. Kerry insists none of them ever believed what they were told…until it was too late.
Using manipulation games, she offers a deal that gives them hope. If Kerry can safely show Toni the raging monster he claims he becomes, she’ll decide. But does she mean it? Because the next full moon is about to rise. And they have no idea who she really is.
Be careful what you ask for!!!
That night, with everyone hiding safely behind the bunker door and the full moon rising, Toni watches in terrified awe as Kerry transforms into a seven-foot tall raging Werebear.
Then makes her move, shoving the Behrs outside!
And all hell breaks loose as the monster tries to kill everyone in sight, smell or sound—killing Meemaw, subduing and mauling Jean, giving Toni mere seconds of time to flee. The incoherent monster attacks, biting a gash into Toni’s arm...only to hesitate. Giving Toni time to strategize a harrowing escape.
Back in civilization, she tells authorities about the bunker, and feels unnerved because her once horrible looking bite heals much too quickly. With the next full moon imminent, Kerry tracks Toni down, now strangely insisting they’re connected, claiming no one’s ever survived when he’s turned. Especially no one he’s bitten.
With his family bunker now compromised, Kerry needs a new place to hide for the night. Perhaps now so does she! Seeking the solitude of Toni’s very abusive and malevolent mother’s basement, they must do anything they can to get past this terrible woman…
WITH THE NEXT FULL MOON ABOUT TO RISE!
